Andrew McCloy
Chair of Trustees
Thank you for your interest in Campaign for National Parks and for considering joining our Board of Trustees. Our organisation was born from a social movement 90 years ago, and with radical roots in protest and activism, we succeeded in our immediate goal of establishing National Parks across England and Wales. Today, as the only independent charity dedicated to securing their future we continue to challenge decision makers and bring people together in order to achieve truly nature-rich National Parks for everyone.
We are now moving into the next phase of our work and are looking to strengthen our Board leadership and succession, bringing in different perspectives and experiences as part of our commitment to social justice. We welcome the fresh perspective and expertise that new trustees will bring to our dedicated and highly collaborative team. In particular, we are looking for someone who has the skills and motivation to make a difference to our Fundraising and Finance Committee, as well as a trustee who might act as a persuasive advocate and external spokesperson for the organisation
Above all, this is your opportunity to help shape the direction of a respected and influential campaigning charity, one that has a national identity and outlook and punches well above its weight. And while we rightly acknowledge our successful legacy, our focus is very much on the future and working with a range of partners to realise our ambitions for thriving National Parks.
I encourage you to explore the pack and consider how your skills, experiences and values could help us on that journey. We look forward to hearing from you.
